Default engine cutting out need help.

Hi everyone need some help with my 79 L82. It seems to run fine when it is cold, idles good has power and doesn't cut out. It does have trouble starting first time I need to prime the carb every morning to get it started but it starts evertime after that. As soon as it heats up maybe after 10 minutes of driving it cuts out when I step on it, mostly when I am going up hill. Today I was driving about 30 mph and it started to cut out and stalled twice, it has never done that before and it is very hot out today. So far I have replaced the fuel line going to the pump and the filter. It's all stock has a Qjet carb and 90,000 miles.

Any ideas?

I'd think that you'd get more replies by placing this question in the proper C3 Corvette Tech/Performance Forum rather than the site Help Forum. Look at the main menu and/or try here...
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=5
Now, if you want to know how to put up an image on Corvette Forum, this would be the right place...

Have the ignition module in the distributor tested (Autozone, NAPA, etc.). The primitive electronics inside are sensitive to heat.

. I would also check out carb/fuel line issues. When is the last time the fuel filter was changed?

When you say stalled does it actually shut down completely? Or does it bog / hesitate?

I think it bogged down to almost stalling then it came back to life ran ok for a little and then it did it all over again. I tried to get it started last night when it cooled down and the only way i could get it to start was to prime the carb. It stayed running until it ran out of primer. I did that several times and just gave up. I read on the forum archive that if you use an after market fuel line to the pump from the tank you can run into a lot of vaporlock problems so I am going to change it to the recomended fuel line and see if that helps. I' ve tried to find one
locally but have had no luck . Any suggestion?

Check out the evap system and make sure you have proper fuel system venting.
