I think personal bashing threads should be locked for the good of the forum, what do you think?
I'm in favor of that. Negativity doesn't do anyone or anything any good.
This one has a good point, but it will likely be locked. It's free posting, like spamming. Like I said though...it's a good point and most will agree before it's locked down.
What we have is a rival forum who has a very senior, well respected member who encourages the newly transfered "experts" to come over here and stir up trouble. That quote I posted from Twin Turbo was copied directly off that site. This will explain all of the recent bashing and lockdowns. Getting banned here is a badge of honor of there. That pole was a deliberate effort to get banned. He was posting on an anti-DB thread on the other site right before going on CF and posting that pole. See for yourself.
I had a whole diatribe that I was going to put down here but decided against it,,, But guess what, its a free country and we can pick and choose what we want to read, post and endure, yep even with following the rules here. Everyone must have some sort of an idea or thought on how some people are so, last I checked it was O.K. to take or leave their perceived expertise and follow what ever path we need to for "OURSELVES", Peace,,,Moosie
Oh yeah,,,,BTW , IBTL

C'mon now - you know this "poll" is just another way of stirring the pot and will, itself, become antagonistic if not locked down. The best thing to do is ignore threads you don't want to read.
Well I must be lucky, or just not cruising the right places?
I haven't really seen much inapproiate behaviour.
All in all this is a very mature site
I voted just to watch known antaganists.
I hate to see a thread shut down in the middle of an informative bunch of responses just because some dork has nothing better to do than sound off.

How many times do we really need to talk about this?
I see it this way, and this is why we can't ever seem to let this go.
Picture two snow forts not too far from each other. Lots of neighbor hood kids, separated between the two forts. There is a kid at one of forts that the other fort hates and loves to discuss to no end.
We'll call one fort CF and the other fort DC. Say the kids of CF are sitting around talking about their trikes. A kid from DC comes over, who is still friendly with most of the CF kids, but this time starts throwing snow ***** at everyone and causing a ruckus.
He is sent out, and goes back to his DC fort where he is met with open arms for his disruption.
CF is just the target for the kids with snow *****.
As long as it's fun for them to throw snow ***** they will continue to do so. Unfortunately, they have such a great time doing it, even if we ignore it they will continue. For some reason they just can't get over the guy they hate. He doesn't post over there. I know because I used to be a member there. They still talk about him like it all happened yesterday and they now feel like they are an exclusive club who's sole purpose is to harass him and anyone who doesn't find him unfavorable.
I like him. I think a lot of us like him. It's a shame there are so many neighborhood bullies that come over here and throw snow ***** at him and us.

Maybe you have a point..But.if there is erroneous information given in response to a question, is it not our responsibility to correct the error? Or do we let the error go un-challenged, leaving the o/p hanging?

I totally agree with you, and if 'He' was really wrong then challenging that error is a good thing. However, there are two ways to challenge something like that. One can be polite about it...offering the real answer and reasons why one is right and one is wrong.
What I saw and still see is a challenge that's a bash, or a personal strike against the person who posted the error, offering NO reasons why the post was incorrect, and usually no correct information. That's the mistake right there.
Guys, if you see an error, correct it like an adult and no one will be treated like children.
Everyone makes mistakes. I've corrected numerous errors I've found in posts. I've been corrected plenty of times. So has everyone else. Just be adults about it.

OH MY GOSH Why do these posts continue. Just stop already. No please continue to bash everyone you can and bash the forum. Say the very meanest thing that you have to say here out in the open and get it over and done with. Yell Scream Rant and Rave. And if there is anyone remaining on the forum it will be quiet again. Nobody will be here but it will be quiet lol.

I apologize if this post was seen to be stirring the pot, that was not my intent. I thought the other poll should have been locked down like some other bashing posts. People have disaggreements...yes...some people are right some are wrong, it's when it turns personal and people get their backs up that it gets nasty and counterproductive. Why do some people forget why their here?
1. Let the mods do their job without any more stupid "polls" about how they should do their jobs.
2. The 98% of us who couldn't care less about who is banned and who is stirring trouble and what is posted on some other stupid site, blah, blah, blah, COMPLETELY IGNORE IT and let it go away as most garbage usually does.

Just a matter of opinion. Stirring the pot is stirring the pot. This one the same as any other...
