Default Electric Fan

I was under my car today and noticed I have two fans, the regular 5 blade and then an electric fan attached right to the radiator. Was the electric fan an original part or one that someone added later on. Also, the electric fan isn't working. Assuming the individual wired it right, which I'm not so sure about, where is the most likely place to check the power source for the electric fan. I'm in Vegas and with the temps getting up to the mid 100-teens, I'm sure the extra fan could be helpful.

Thanks!!

I think all 1980-82 Corvettes got a second electric fan attached infront of the radiator and switched on whit the A/C, if I am not mistaken.

There is a thermoswitch in the passenger heat that operates the Aux fan. It comes on at 238* or something. It is intended to help out if your stuck in traffic and heating up. IMHO, it doesn't work well and today you can get a LOT better fan to replace it. The fan is powered off a circuit breaker on the fuse box via a pink wire (book says hot at all times) thru the motor and then thru the thermo switch to ground. Pull the 2 pin connectoe off the switch and sticj a jumper in there to test.
Here is a diagram. The book is confuzed a bit, the drawing cays circuit breaker, but it also indicates a 30a fuse on the fuse panel, lower left corner of the fuse panel
