replacement seat covers for a 1982
guys, looking at getting new "mounted seat covers", can you explain the difference of "leather like material with vinyl" and "original leather/vinyl seat covers". i know the leather would be the best. what did my 1982 come with?
sorry all this sounds kinda trivial but i'm in Pakistan, trying to buy things online for the vette and i can't get a "touchy/feely" with my car at the moment. appreciate all the info you can give me. i know i'm purchasing them from Willcox.

As i understand it vette seats came with leather fronts and vinyl sides.
So your 82, if it had leather interior had leather fronts,vinyl sides.
You can use the leather like material with vinyl sides as a cost saving opption.

I have the "leather-like" set on my 82, at $149 a set it's a big savings over the leather stuff.
Kinda has a heavy vinyl feel to it, doesn't feel like leather though. But if your doing it yourself, it's way easier to work with.
I'm satisfied with it.
If your not going for originality it's the way to go
also- for any seat cover to fit right and retain it's shape it's a good idea to replace the foam at the same time. Bad thing is the foam runs about $300 a set.
