Core Support /Radiator Differences

I am considering going with Dewitts and dual spals but need to identify what one I need and whether I need to change my core support. My current radiator has no radiator cap - just a nipple. It is for a BB automatic. I believe I need A69A (27.5"). I saw Dewitts also offers a SB to BB upgrade SP024 which is 23.5" and offers spal fans that cover the entire core. Is it the 27.5" vs. 23.5" that is the difference in the core support?
As background, long ago I went from a SB to a BB motor. I eventually went to a 69 BB fan/shroud arrangement and then to a 73 BB fan/shroud. The current shroud is 3956119 and 336152. If memory servers me correct, the 69 fan had square edges and the current 73 fan has the pointed edges.
I think the only thing I did to the core support was to re-drill the upper brackets... I know I now use a center support for the shroud. ??? The core support is at the body shop - otherwise I could tell you for sure.

FYI - that SP024 taht converts SB to BB - simply allows to maintain the same core support brackets in the same location.
