Default first post and guage question

I just picked up a 75 for 5k, pretty good condition, and I'm starting to go through the car. The previous owner took out all of the instrumentation and couldn't get it back in properly.

I've identified all of the lights with the exception of a 2 wire yellow yellow/black that I'm thinking is for the wiper lights.

Also, there are two indicator lenses on the center istrument panel that I havn't identified.

The driver side is the "fasten seat belts" and the passenger side is missing.

I'm guessing these are "generator" and "temp", but i'm not sure. The top one has pink and lt blue wires and the bottom was white/black and dk blue. I can't locate the lights in my schematics. Also the wiring for the fasten seat belts is missing, but that's no big deal.

Fasten seatbelts is marked pink dk green on the back of the bezel, but the yellows make sense, because I found an extra gray which is probably for the wipers.

What is below the door ajar?

the other probably was blue white/green. Is the headlamp door warning to tell that there's a problem the the headlamp vacuum system?

There are switches at the lights that show when the lights are fully open, when they are opened, the light on the dash goes out. These switches are easliy broken due to the plastic housing they occupy. The housing goes through the light bracket and fastens with a nut, the threaded portion is plastic also, and they usually snap there.

Below door ajar should be "headlamps"
Are you giving us actual wire colors or what it says on the back of bezel?
Grays are dash illumination bulbs--they are 1 wire and they get their ground through the bezel

all of the wires were pulled out, so using my schematic I've got pretty much everything back where it goes. What is the headlamps light for? I'd like to check all the lights before i go to the trouble of putting everything back together. When I got the car everything was out so I'd like to address any issue before it goes together. I'll have to rig up a ground to test the single wire with.

The headlamps light lights up when the headlights are on, but the doors are not fully open.

In other words, when you turn your lights on, the red headlights indicator will come on, then go off when the headlight doors are fully opened.

If it stays on either the doors are not opening all the way or a switch is defective.

If your testing make sure the bezel is grounded good bofore you test the wipers-if it grounds through you it will knock the snot out of you.
