Default Stock 81 valve covers

I know there is a left and right? How can I tell? I looked at the back side and I see 8 tabs are they supposed to drip oil on the back of the rocker or the top of the valve? Also you guys think I get a set Roller rockers under the stock cover? I had them on with thick gaskets but I think its close! I did get a set of thicker gaskets, Ill try them tomorrow.

I wasn't able to get full rollers under mine with even a double gasket. I needed an aluminum spacer and two gaskets.

The driver's side cover has the oil fill hole and is towards the back of the engine. The front hole on this side is for the PCV valve. On the other side, the hole for the air breather is towards the back of the engine.

Oil fill hole is the passenger side at the front, filter hole at the back. Drivers side has PCV hole at the front and emplem at the back

Not on the stock 81. That would put the filler hole under the side air inlet.

Couldn't find a pic of the passenger side, but you can just see the plastic outlet on the fender for the air inlet which would go under the A/C line and into the side snorkel on the air cleaner. This is right over the emblem on the passenger valve cover.

Here. I found a pic:

I dunno if it's stock or not but I have a little snorkel/extension tube off the oil filler hole. It looks DAMN ugly and won't be there for much longer...

I don't suppose it matters as long as the drippers are on the high side of the covers and the PCV and breathers are hooked up. It does if you have the stock air cleaner setup though.
