I just sold my fun car so I'm looking to build another one. I really like the c2's and their unique look but I've never been crazy about how upright the windshield was. So here is my crazy idea. I'm not really looking for input on whether it can be done or not. I have built several kit cars and know my way around fiberglass. I just want input on how everyone think it looks. I want something unique but part of the reason I want a vette is the community. Will I be shunned if I do this to a precious vette even if it is a less desireable year?
Thanks,
Scott
If you could buy a C-2 that was rolled over and you wanted to play, why not try a late bubble back graft. I think the large glass with mirror tops would look different. I'd never hack-up a C-2 coupe to try this, however.
Do it. If that is what you want, go for it. I get crap all the time about my 63. It is a total custom but it is MY total custom. If they don't like it too bad. There are NCRS guys and custom guys. I had a #s matching stock down to the correct tires 72 that I sold to redo my 63 custom. It is not about $. It is about what you want to end up with.
nothing wrong with c3 front on a c2 i like that. Just the roof lines and body lines are so different it just looks goofy. mid section of the door one the hatch one looks like a c4

I'm all for doing what you want with your own car, but using a 2500 dollar c3 junker as a base vs a 20 grand c2 junker wouldn't be financially sound. Sell the c2 and pay for the whole finished product out of a c3.
If that's your vision, go for it. Seems like it would be a lot of work for something that is potentially, but if that's a chance you're willing to take...
Looking at your Photoshop®, it might look better with '78-82 rear glass.
