HI....

Ifi´m not mistaking it should be the seatbelts with the D-ring that is mounted in the Rear Quater Panel. If you remove this you shold see a hole where the D-ring should be mounted.

This one is without the hole

On my '73 the seats have guides for the belts. So the rear retractors are correct. They should sit atop the rear fender wells, go thruogh the outside guide in the seat, and latch up with the lap retractor. the clip only goes through the seats upside down, also.

your seat covers may not be original. some MAY have a provision to cut the guide hole.

My 73 came with the rear shoulder harness from the factory and they go through the cutouts in the seat. I have since changed the belts out with F-body seatbelts but I still ran them the same way.

Default Seat type clarification....

Thanks for the replies. Just to clarify, here is a photo of the type of seat I have...no belt pass through. The car didn't come with D-Rings and I don't see a place to intall them....

If you have the retractor behind the seats, and they clip onto the lap belts, that should be all you need. Some people say you don't need the belt through the guide anyway. Either someone repalced the seat covers or the complete seats on your '73, All had the hole for ther belt.

All coupes had the shoulder belts. If you seats do not have the pass through then someone has recoved them at some point and took the easy way out.

You either need to get the necessary hardware and correct the recover or just install a three point system out of the rear of a late model F body (lot of post and discussion on that, should be able to find all you need with a simple search).
