Source for door glass
Trying to find new driver's door glass for a 1980 Corvette. Who is a
good source for this glass? I had a local glass shop, Diamond Auto
glass order it from a company in Minnesota who at first said they
had it, but now it turns out they had to order it. I checked with
a few Corvette suppliers and they have it dropped shipped. One
said from a place in Minnesota.
Also in most Corvette catalogs they list a part no. for 1969-74 and
one for 1975-82. Yet several catologs list one part no. fitting
1969-82. What's up with this difference?

Coupe and convertible door glasses are different due to the roof lines. 69-75 you could have coupe or convertible; 76 up, all coupes. Also depends on whether you want/need the Astro-Ventilation scripts in the glass. The 80-82 stock door glasses are thinner than the earilier years as part of the weight saving scheme introduced on the '80 models.
