Default Hello guys

As some of you know I have had some issue logging on to this site since the upgrade last week. I was not sure if I was banned or if I just had a system problem. It appears to be a system problem as I can log on from a friends PC, as I am now.

I would like to take a minute and point out some things that hopefully will clear the air, at least about me.

First, thank you one and all for your support of me while I was not able to respond. I still may not be for a while until I get my home PC up again. I will not forget those that stood by me.

There has been some policy changes of late. I choose not to be a vendor for several reasons. As a result I will no longer post pictorial threads on technical jobs here. I will answer any question when I can to anyone who asks.I have freely posted what help I could to help fellow corvette owners avoid some pitfalls that commonly happen when buying these old plastic cars. Now some others in the business may have /had a problem with my work but they never contacted me directly about it. I am open to discuss this as well, just email me and leave it off the forums as there is no place for that nonsense here or elswhere.

I am a member of this forum, DC, CAC, and NCRS all with the same name. I will admit, I was not happy about the way this turned out for me after all the years here but as said "it is what it is"

If I can help you just contact me and I'll do what I can.

Brett, Thank you for posting for me this week. I was able to contact the people who were looking for me. Check out the post I plan on fitting a steel bearing cap in your differential. Again that will not be here but it will be easy to find.

Thank you,
Gary Ramadei

So now I know where to turn when I have differential questions and where not to turn for internet troubleshooting.

Time to upgrade from Windows 3.1. If you have computer problems there are plenty of us who can help - don't hesitate to ask. We owe you.

holy cow, I wonder what this was about.

wow, with the valuable contributions and knowledge you've shared, I can't imagine any reasonable reason for banning your postings or even restricting them.

I see some less-than-genius postings every now and then, even controversial stuff, but the beauty of this type of forum is that it's an open forum to exchange ideas.

glad you're back for whatever the reason. I just hope your "technical difficulties" have not been for some intentional administratively misguided cockamamie notion.

I've been doing my own differential assembly/disassembly tinkering chores for the last 15 years, and your postings and especially the photos are very valuable, if not invaluable.

there is no tech manual that contains anywhere near the quality nor quantity of detail and knowledge that your postings have shared openly.

your postings, comments, replies & contributions are undisputedly valued-added to this site. without a doubt.

Check out the other forums Gary mentions. Im sure they write ups will be available.
I too believe that a picture is worth 100 words and can make all the difference. Its a shame when the forum gets petty when guys are purely posting to help others out.
When I rebuild my rear, guess what papers I will look at first...if I cant do it I know where I will send it!
I know the forum needs support from large vendors to help pay for the site but are they so afraid of the competition? That in itself speaks volumes about the quality of work Gary provides.

Perhaps if we dont pay....just make a donation......

Gary good to see you posting again, keep the info coming!

We don't know who complained, no idea if it was one or several vendors..... anyways.... Gary's work is better than anything you can buy from mass production or mass volume dealers/shops.... that and all the photos that show how to do the job right was likely too much for some vendors

If you can't beat your competition you're not good enough
