Thats what I was going to say.
People only like 4-speeds because they all think they can shift like Ronnie Sox. I would hate the thought of banging my knee into the tilt and signal handles 4 times in a block all the time.
I'll take an auto with a stall speed any day and woop their Azz!
Imho the L82 automatic.
For no other reason than,i like automatics.
I think you're the only person in Europe who does.

You may beat me off the line, but I'll have more fun driving...at least once I get rid of that danged TH350...
Oh boy here we go again. Manual vs Auto is a debate that will never end and the reason is because no one is wrong. Someone who likes a manual likes it for good reasons same as someone who likes autos. They each have their pros and cons and every person will have one they prefer over the other.
No comparison. The 4-speed is much more fun. Automatics in a vette take away from the driving experience. People can say what they want, but there's absolutely positively no comparison...Period.

L-82 Automatic is much more fun! No comparison. L-48's in Corvettes take away from the driving experience. People can say what they want, but there's absolutely positively no comparison.
. . .and as a bonus, you can hold the hotties hands in the automatic
You can't go wrong, can you? Seek your mind, Grasshopper. Back in '88 I went searching for my 1st Vette- a C2. It HAD to be a rag-top and 4-speed. I found a '66 327/300 and have it still. I find the manual so choice. A month ago I lucked into a C3-'76 L-82. This time my priority was a minimal project L-82 with A/C. It's an automatic and I love it. My suggestion: go with your fundamental priorities. You must decide if the thrill of shifting- and it is a blast- supercedes the desire for a bit more horsepower (and a rarer Vette).
