?? on A/C Compressor
Just put a new a/c compressor in my 76 vette and it said it doesn't have any oil in it and needs to be serviced by an a/c mechanic. I am going to take it down to get it serviced and charged with freon. My question is, will it be OK to drive it to the get it serviced without oil? Should I remove the belt or will it be OK?

it is fine to drive to get system serviced as bearing on front of compressor is a sealed bearing , just to be safe to make sure a/c doesn;t come on accidently you should unplug electrical plug at compressor
