shift console screws
on either side of the fiber optic cut-out on the under side there is a small bracket with a machine screw (#8 or 10 X 3/4). the fiber optic is held in place by push nuts and there doesn't appear to any other parts that fasten here. what's it for?

thanks for the reply. the brackets and screws that i'm questioning are at the front light fiber optic panel. the brackets are bent metal strips about 1/2 " wide and 2" long. jeff

Post a pic. Sounds like a previous owner has installed a console repair kit to keep the console trim plate in place.
