Just thought I would post a couple of pics of my carpet install...I had heard mixed reviews on ACC but mine went in without a hitch...seems like a pretty good product.
I recarpeted the old ones. and put new frames around the doors.
I keep hearing ACC carpeting.
I plan to redo mine in the next few weeks, Was gonna buy fron CCentral or Ecklers.
Does ACC sell to them?
Do you have a link where you bought from?
Thanks
Also I see the roll of heat shield in the second shot , did you ALSO use noise reduction padding or just the insulation?
Also how did you secure the insulation material?
Glue or heat/metal tape?

Actually, I bought from Willcox off of Ebay...you will save a few dollars doing it this way rather than direct to a catalog company...even cheaper than going to Willcox site...they sell it all the time on ebay. Regarding the heat shield, I was going to go with the sound deadner that you can get from several sources, but instead opted for Reflectix from Lowes because I wasnt happy with the sound deadner...takes one roll and runs about $26...this stuff works great for reducing the heat...goes in very easily. I used 3M high strength spray adhesive in key locations to hold down the reflectix and carpet.
I have installed about 40 sets of ACC carpet in various vehicles, including c2,c3, and c4 vettes and have always been impressed with them. Most of the resto suppliers are actually selling ACC. The only brand that I used that was very bad was a company called Ohio Auto Mat. Put theres in a 71 Buick GS. Fit was terrible and color faded within a year.

Thanks, as soon as I get my WATER LEAK situation resolved, I will begin the carpets.
Either a car cover or all new weatherstripping.
I think I like the car cover option better.
MUCH EASIER. Although if I get caught in the rain, I am screwed as it will leak like a champ.
Maybe go for the cover, replace the carpets and THEN the weather stripping.
never ends does it!
Thats not even considering A/C- Heating issues and a ton of other stuff
Just got it on the 11th and have a to do list about 30 items long.
