All I could do was laugh.
Well as many of you know I was getting close to putting Hammerhead back on the road.I had just rebuilt the holley and went over the timming and ect,It was running good.It was time for the run up the road and back.(How many has been there?
)Well I had been driving all over the yard and driveway working on it.Ok.I fired it up and put it in gear and a slight push of the throttle and ZZING!!No forward gears! So Back in the garage it went and 45min,later the motor and tranny are ready to pull. The weak link went away.I was saving for a 6speed anyways, but I'm not there on cash yet.(My lifes story!)Well I'm hoping to have it together for Goodguy's at the Kansas speedway.Sometimes all you can do is laugh and push on!

Hey-man, I like what you have done to your car, it is a cool hot rod. The primer is perfect IMO. In my eye a high end paint job would take away some of its appeal. A highly detailed engine bay would look killer when you pop the bonnet.
Thank's(I think?) I have always been a fan of the old roadracers,(like the Greenwood racer ,ect,)But I'm into function as well as form and wanted the old to mesh with the new and meet somewhere in the middle.I wanted all of the mods to serve a purpose and of course a modern drivetrain that would hold it's own with the new. Most of all,It had to have ATTITUDE.I know that it's not everyones cup of tea,but it's my rendering of what I like in a vette.I hope that for the most part people like it.

But its your ride, and I think you are acomplishing what you set out to do. And I do appreciate the amount of work you have into it. The younger generation will definately love it!!!
Thanks to all of you for the support and input. The car will get painted a color evetually.(Probably not flat black)I have a few ideas but nothing is set in stone.A nice paint job should put some class back into the car and get rid of the mad max look.(Although I don't think of it as bad)

It's been decades since I've seen the flick. Car looks really sharp, and nasty! It's just for some reason I visualized a big bowie knife attached to the hood when I saw the pic. I really need to get more sleep.
If I can swap motherboards and get the server back online before the weekend I'll post pics of the vette I almost bought earlier in the year.

That Vette makes the Corvette Summer Vette look tame.......

I did see that on TV a while back and I was laughing at the acting and plot.(It seemed alot cooler when I was a kid.)
