Default New front suspension in, small problem

Changed over complete front suspension on my 69. Filled the parts with new grease but 1 of the lower ball joint boots has a small hole in it about the size of the head of a small pin. Really dont want to do battle with the coil spring again if I dont have to ,but dont want to loose grease. Any sugestions besides taking it back apart? Thanks

At least that's what I'd do

This is going to sound crazy, but Yamaha (motorcycles--not guitars) has great sealant and its black! How did I find out? I went to the Harley dealer for sealant to bond my shovelhead cases together, and he sent me to the Yamahammer store ("That's what we use....")

I would use some laqour thinner or carb cleaner first followed by denat alcohol, scuff with scotch brite, denate alcohol, and seal .The reason I would'nt use carb cleaner right before sealing is that it may leave residue that sealant will not bond properly to, where as denatured alcohol leaves no real residue after it evaporates. May seem excessive but if that does not get it clean then I dont know what will!!

I've seen some boots for some vehicles molded with a little vent nipple on the side of the boot. It's not a perfect seal anyway.
