Corvette Car Lifts
Has anyone had experience with garage car lifts to improve room in your garage. Corvette drives on the lift and part another vehicle underneath? Any mfgs better than others and if so what do you recommend?
I recently bought a Pro-Park 7000 from Direct lift. Had a couple of quality issues and have been waiting on replacement parts for 2 weeks. Looks pretty stout though and others swear by it. Hopefully, I'll have it back up and running in a week or so.

Reason: pics added
Its still there . I changed it to a high lift so it goes straight up to about 2" from the ceiling before it comes back into the garage otherwise the saved space is pretty much useless.

I had the same question... where is the door? Not to change subjects but can you post a pic of how the door runs now and what needs to be done to make that work. Thanks
I love mine, It is an autolift brand but they have gone out of buisness. Very simular to the Backyard Buddy.
I've got an Autolifters also... its a two post 8000 lb model. Got it just before they went under. Rumor has it they have been opened back up by a few employees.
Best advice I can give you... make sure whatever you purchase is made in the USA. Alot of manufacturers hide the fact they are made overseas... Rotary and Bend-pak both have budget models not made here in the US. Safety standards are second to none here.

I'm out of town for a few days so I can't take a picture for you. I can put one up later in the week if no one else has. Basically the door tracks go all the way up to the ceiling before they start to come back into the garage. So basically 2.5 more feet straight up.
Nice set up! I wish I would have gone with rafters instead of trusses when I built the shop. i don't have the head room for a lift. Or lift enough to get another corvette under the first one. But the shop is 24x 24 built solely to put the vette in so its all good. but those lifts arrr nice.
After what I consider a complete investigation I found Backyard Buddy to be my pick. My neighbors have gone with cheaper brands. I look at issues like this, I am standing under a 3200 lb. car, do I want cheap or do I want to eat dinner tonight. Much like the fool that has a flat tire he must change on the freeway instead of pulling to an offramp. Granted he has ruined a $150.00 tire but lives to talk about it.
Here's a crazy question... Does anyone make a lift which is air operated? With an air motor, it seems like it would be less expensive and simpler for us having a compressor?
One of my friends has a ben-pac 7000 & he loves it, I just helped another friend install a pro-park 8000 very nice lift. I like the safety brakes. If I had the height in my garage I would install one.
