I'm getting ready to install new carpet this weekend and already got some great advice from some members, but I need some help with the seats. I was looking at how to take them out and I can't find the 4 screws that hold them down. I can't even get my hand under the seats let alone get a socket or driver under them. I must be going about this all wrong. Could someone please tell me the best way to take out the seats. Thanks a lot
pretty simple, you may have to pull the carpet up a little. slide the seat all the way back, lift the carpet a little, and you should see it, then slide it all the way forward and you should see the 2 for the rear. it shouldn't actually be all the way under the seat. i pulled mine monday night took me all of 10 minutes....pretty simple job
Depending on what year, the rear outer has a loose nut (the other three are welded to the frame) that you will need to use a wrench on from under the car.

take mine out whenever I work on the interior, only takes a couple of minutes. The carpet should have a flap over the seat bolts,if not you can feel around for the bolt head and cut through the carpet. I use a socket with a very long extension which makes the job even easier...................LT

I do the same.
It's one of the fastest thing to remove on a vette.
