but, maybee some one else here has a little more knowlage than I do on the 69's. I've read a lot of books an have never seen any mention ofa 69 prototype lt1, again maybee im wrong. If the car doesn't have the correct engine and has no documentation then I would say it's a 69 corvette plain and simple. Great car for the right price.
Factory Lt1's were 70 to 72 only. Unless there is some rare prototype, there were none in 69. Odds are the car your talking about is a made up car.
This is what I thought when he spoke of it, He is getting me pics and VIN#. I will post pics if possible.
He is pretty sure the hood was changed, But doesn't know about the engine. Original paint on low milage car, with hood that was matched for color and clear coated.
Thanks so far.

I recently bought Bizzoco's book on fleabay for $50. Read it from cover to cover. As was said, he says that one '69 LT1 was sold by a dealer in California. I thought that the NCRS's 6th edition of the TIM&JG had more originality information than the Bizzoco book IMHO. Also, the photography in the Bizzoco book is HORRIBLE. I"m glad I only layed down $50 for it.
