Oil Dipstick ??????

Default Oil Dipstick ??????

I have a interesting question i havent seen here on the forum yet ! I have a sbc 355 with a 6qt oil pan i dont know what kind it is just that its a 6qt , and i dont have a dipstick for it . How can i get the corect one that will measure the oil corectly

Just my opinion: The dipstick level is set so that the oil seals are below the resting oil level. The larger pan doesn't change the seal level so your stock dipstick is fine.

I agree the size or the quart should go down not up reg dip stick will be correct.

ok , do other larger oil pans on the market come with a dipstick or do they use the oem ?

STOCK dipstick should be used with ALL oil pans. The Dipstick measures the oil HEIGHT - not quantity.
