Default Help me decide Please . . .

Ok, my trim around the back window was flat black. I decided to strip it off so I could repaint it. (It was scratched up) After getting all the old paint off, I kinda like the polished look. I cannot decide if I should paint it again, or leave it alone. Tell me what you think, and why?

I considered the same thing, but painted mine semi flat black because the front trim is semi flat black and the rocker moldings are also. I think do one or the other to all trim, don't mix it up. I see your rockers are bare, how about the windshield trim?

I like the polished look. It goes with the rocker panels.

Good point. I never thought to keep it all the same. I did the rockers about a year ago, because the black was in such bad shape. I guess, now I just have to do the fronts

Im gonna bare it all I guess you could say:o - those of you with weak stomachs might not wanna watch

I like the polished look with the silver paint. I'm not sure how I'd feel about it with another color.

I have been thinking about this too, as my trim is in bad shape. My 79 is white and if I could find rocker mouldings that are chromed or polished metal, I think I would go ahead and convert to polished. Not sure hot I wold deal with the windsheild frame though. I think it makes the car look better without making it look too different!

The polished look goes with those nice shiny wheels you have...

I think it looks good!

I like the polished look as well. Be aware though that you'll have to maintain it more as a polished finish that you mill as a painted one.

Either way looks good. The polished look goes better with the wheels and the rest of the trim, though.
