Default '68-'76 e-brake/armrest vs. '77-'82?

Another thread about "center armrest pads" got me bugged about my e-brake/armrest again. I spent a lot of time and $$ trying to get it to look nice. The hard plastic shift console isn't much better. I'd really like a custom center console from the rear deck to guage console, but that would take $$ from Kiesler 5-spd fund.

I found this one on the Mid America site:
http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette...54.1605.612598

It's listed for '68-'76 Corvettes. What's the difference between '68-'76 and '77-'82 e-brake/armrests?

Would a '68-'76 e-brake/armrest fit an '80?

It doesn't come in '80 Oyster, but color is not a big problem to solve.

The center and ebrake consoles changed for 77. The new style is a plastic trim piece and a paint-to-match vinyl cover. 68-76 had a fibergalss, upholstered center console with a separate console trim plate and a hard plastic ebrake console between the seats.

No.

These have their uses. All the aftermarket providers carry them and you can get them to match your stock color.
