Default Exhaust manifold question

I have read in all vette catalogs that there are 2 inch and 2.5 inch exhaust systems available for purchase. When you look at replacement exhaust manifolds listed only the 2 inch are available. I have a 73 with a L48 base 350 that I hope to modify with higher comp pistons, new cam and aluminum heads. The question I have is if I decide to keep the stock manifolds on the engine is it possible to attach the 2.5 inch system to my 2 in. manifolds? Is there an adapter available? The reason for doing this is to maintain a stock appearance for the engine but the larger exhaust system could be more free flowing. The heat riser would also be eliminated from the right hand side using a replacement spacer that is availabe to purchase. Thanks.

IN '73 all SB engines used the 2" dicharge manifolds and an adaptor was welded to the end of the 2-1/2" exhaust pipe when used as on the L82 engine. If you want to kept the standard manifold for your L48 then just purchase the exhaust system for a L82 engine and you'll have the 2-1/2" exhaust pipes and muffler.
