Default Oddities in my interior?

69 Coupe..

1. Both seats have a small chrome loop on the inside (console side) shoulder area as if for a shoulder belt. Should this not be on the door side shoulder area? Or is this something else? Car has lap belts only...

2. Both seats have a small chrome back release, but the passenger side is to the console side (no room on the door side), while the driver side is to the door side (where there is room). Is that right?

3. There's no cover for the rear vent "catch tray" (should there be?).

4. There's nothing for rear window storage (tray or whatever it should be).

TIA....

To make the seats last longer, and since the driver's side is the one that gets used the most, a lot of guys swapped the seats. It shounds like that's what's going on with yours. Not sure about the vents...

1. What the other poster said. Seats are otherwise identical for '69s.
2. This is correct, even after (if) you switch them back. This was for the driver to flip the passenger seat forward...probably because there are no rear seats, presumably only the driver needs to get into the storage compartments.

As the above replies indicate, the seats have been switched so that what was originally the driver's seat is now the passengers seat, and similarly for the original passenger's seat.

If you're missing the storage tray, they sometimes come up on ebay for sale. If you buy the tray, you'll need the little latch on the body (under the window forward body ledge. They are available from Corvette vendors.

Also, those little shoulder belt chrome loops on your seats. These little babies can be pretty expensive on ebay.

Snake-Oyll can remanufacture your shoulder belts (or at least they did for my 68). .

Ah, thanks for the info guys....

I thought that might be the case with the seats. I suppose I'll have to find the complete set up for the shoulder belts as there's nothing but the lap belts bolted to the floor right now...

Only question remaining is if there was a cover under that rear vent asembly, or if I just need to fabricate something to hide that stuff. Not sure it's even working right now either.

Plan is to get my "to do" list together for the bad weather months...
