Do Not Use Secure Auto Tranport
After a week of run around and dozens of unreturned calls I tried to cancel a pick up with SECURE AUTO TRANSPORT in Popamo beach. DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS. Now they will not even take my phone calls for a credit. I don,t think they are even a real bussiness. I will propably never see my deposit. That is propbably their game. DO NOT USE!!!!

Last month, I bought a '70 coupe from a classic car dealer in AZ. The car transaction went good, but the shipping was a nightmare. Basically, I was quoted a price of $1,200., but when the car was delivered, the price was $1,600. - with no explanation!!! (They mumbled something about the price of diesel going up.) Additionally, I was informed on Sunday morning (when the car was delivered,) that I needed to pay in CASH. If I didn't have the cash, they would not deliver the car and I would have to meet them in Milwaukee (their next stop) with the cash.
If anybody wants to know the name of the shipping company, PM me.
My advice to anybody buying a car out of state: Go get the car yourself.

From what I have found the larger carriers are very reputable. I have had great luck with Horseless Carriage. One time I used a smaller one paid for an enclosed carrier and they tried to pick the car up with an open carrier.

I had 33,000 Lbs. of steel delivered from Texas to California and the trucking company I was going to use raised the price on me two times from 3K up to $4,200.00 I told him to screw himself the last time he tried bumping the price. only after I had set up a pickup time he thought he had em in a corner.

I used FedEx when I bought my 64 coupe to get it from NJ to Austin. From the online quote (which they stuck to) to them constantly updating me.. to the professionalism of the owner/driver .. and delivered the car to me early.. I will not hesitate to use them again.

Check out www.transportblacklist.com and report any bad deals you have with transport companies. Might help someone else not get burned.

Honest Carriers
I have had the pleasure of using both Good and Bad carriers. The Good One was Intercity Van lines Honest dependable and a true professional. the other I rather not talk about..
