Rich-
So we have to come here to see the rest of the pics. I'm not sure how comfortable I am in this section. I hear there are some delusional ex-Marines hanging out here.

When I saw that picture I thought...How did Rich get that picture! I have that same picture...
My first long run around the county with the T-56 Viper ended with an electrical problem in the center console (tranny short?). Smoked something electrical and the car had no power.
Had to wait for a flat bed about an hour at Lawrence Beach (pt. loma) on a memorial day.

Not going to make it to the Temecula run. I did drive out to Jamul (Simpsons Nursery) this morning though. Walked around and looked at the barns full of old muscle cars, Ford T's and A', and Rods. If you have not been we should do it sometime. Short ride but fun...there are a lot more fun roads out that way too...

whoa there... no such thing as an ex-Marine. Once a Marine ALWAYS a Marine
I was out there two weeks ago with my family on a business/pleasure trip. We drove from Oceanside to Indian Wells to see some clients. We drove Winchester Rd out of Temecula then took Hwy 74, the Pines to Palms Hwy out of Hemet up and over the mountains. Great drive! Unfortunantly we were in a rental - Chrysler Pacifica...even if I closed my eyes (which I only did once on this road!) it wasn't even close to driving my Z! I'd say this road is a West Coast version of the Tail of the Dragon..lots of very tight turns.
We had a great trip - it was 86 degrees in O'side, 98 in Temecula, 66 at the top near Hemet lake, ran into a little thunderstorm at the top...and a blazing 108 on the other side in Indian Wells.
My favorite thing about the trip...driving on that parking lot that you guys call I-5 while I idle away $3 a gallon gas!
