It's so freakin hot out that I can't get myself to work on the Vette! It's been sitting for way too long. Everytime I see a show (Hot Rod, Rides, etc.) I get mentaly motivated but just can't seem to get to it. I wish I could get some real motivation going.

YES! I know exactly what you mean, my vette has been leaking power steering fluid all over the garage floor for the last 2 weeks (lots of it) but its to damn hot to work on it. Need to but have to wait till it cools off a little........LT

i've got a box of parts waiting to go on my wifes car(96 volvo), just been way too busy. Problem is I have to do that before she'll let me work on the vette.

I got some parts Friday, opened the hood, but that 99 F in the garage was just too much. I'm going to wait until it cools off a little. I even looked at some portable AC units over the weekend.

Its not that it is too hot to do anything, it's that there is too much to do. I was going to work on my 73 on Saturday, but decided that the garage was too cluttered, so I spent the morning cleaning it out instead. Maybe its just procrastination.

This is to darn funny! I did the exact same thing last weekend. With good intentions I got together all the stuff I needed to pull the seats, center console and gage console. Then I looked at my work-bench and the rest of the garage. Instead of working on the Vette I cleaned the garage and work bench. Spent two days doing it. Work on the Vette? Well she is sitting in the garage waiting and it will have to wait at least two more weeks. Vacation and other planned stuff is in the way this coming weekend - at the beach this past weekend. And as we speak - that nice clean work bench is getting recluttered mysteriously again somehow.

Default yeah it was

Even though it was 101 outside, I still managed to tighten my parking brake, track down a relay problem and install some speakers. It was only about an hours worth and I was soaking wet when I got through.

At least it was a wet heat --- -lol

Saturday wasn't to bad here in the northeast. I spent most of the day under the nose realigning my headlight buckets so they line up better to the body when closed. What a PITA! My neck and back are now sore, but it's a blissful kind of pain.

Yea, I got all the parts, then all the parts jsut sat, for like 2 months, withme looking at them. Then, I finally decieced the trick was to start with the hardest job to do on the 'Vette- rear suspension, that started it,, now, a year later,, just finished. Just start.

I'm thinking of a window air conditioner in the side wall of the garage. How many BTU do you think is needed for a two car garage. Man it going to suck cutting the corvette wall paper.

I've got a cast off 220v unit from an apartment in my garage. It works pretty good, knocks about 10 degrees off when it is 95 out. My garage is 30x40 though, so that unit would probably keep a two stall nice and cold. Get the biggest air conder you can afford. They'll be on sale soon.

I put in 18000 BTU (three window units at 6000 BTU each) in my two car garage. Works great. Today with 100 degree weather my garage was 72F.

This weekend I managed to install Reflectix insulation in the rear area, the front passenger side, and the transmission tunnel. I have to admit, the rear area was a serious pain and I will never do that again. Almost became a heat casualty. Everything is out of the interior with the exception of the driver side dash. Sunday, I started to pull the driver side dash, just so I could say that I had pulled the entire interior out. Then I thought to myself, I've driven the car 130 miles in the last year and a half. Maybe I should quit pulling things off (third exhaust system just went on) and start putting things back on and drive it a little.
