Well I purchased this 77 a little over 2 years ago with no engine and lots of body work needed. I got it running a year ago. I stripped 3 layers of paint off of the car and finally this weekend I returned it back to its original color. Here are a few pic's This was the car the day I bought it.
From the pictures I've seen, code 66 Corvette Orange had more red tint than that. It doesn't seem bright enough to be code 56 Corvette Bright Yellow - could it be one of the 71 painted in code 52 Corvette Yellow?
It is factory code 66 orange. Painted with PPG basecoat DBC and clearcoated with PPG 4000 clearcoat. The interior will be factory buckskin. The only differance is it came with the optional cloth interior. I like the leather look so I am going to replace the cloth with leather. Thanks guys.
Yeah I guess it is. I peeped this thread first out on my garage computer while I was out working on my Vette. The monitor is old and I guess th sun was playing with the images too.
On my house computer and here at work it's easy to see it's orange.
Anyway, looks good even though I am not a fan of orange.
