Small adjustment, about 1/2", usually not enough. You can remove the bracket and bend it a little, or add a spacer of some sort to the contact switch to get the contact you need.
I also hate to admit this on a public forum but....
I had a square rubber block that I drilled a hole in and slipped over the business end of the switch so it makes contact with the foot pedal at 3/4 throttle.
Remove the 2 screws that attach the switch to the car and then go to your local auto parts store.
I ended up buying some rubber fuel line that snuggly fit on the round post part of the switch that comes into contact with the gas pedal. That hose was still not enough, so I then got a larger piece of hose that fit over the fuel hose. Cut both to length so that they stick out not further than the original post. Worked like a charm.

Works great, no problems
Bubba #2 I hate to admit this on a public forum, but....I wrapped some hockey tape around the thing so it would make contact....works like a champ now.
