Quadra-jet hight ???? please
Hi,,, Can some one give me a measurement of the hight of a Q-jet carb. I just need the body hight not including the horn (if it matters ??) This will help me in modifying the filter base for my set up.

Well,, I have a 73sb,,, when purchased it came without an engine,, so I built one up with all the goodies 
but in my stubidness I did not realise there was a clearance hight issue. For the past 3 years I used a small edelbrock air filter which is ok,,, but I really like the cowl induction stock set up,, and I don't want to lose HP in going back to stock intake, carb etc. so I'm going to modify the stock filter assy to accomodate the hight issue,,, Its not going to be simple but it can be done.
