It`s Alive!!!!
list of things i found along the way
1 2 dead spots in the flywheel (missin teeth)
2 crack in expansion tank (repaired)
3 drivers motor mount on frame ripped off and rewelded in wrong location (removed and rewelded in correct spot)
4 bad rag joint ripped almost completely through on one side (replaced)
5 trans mount rubber ripped from metal part ( replaced with ES part)
6 both motor mounts engine side bad (replaced with ES)
7 trans yoke u joint bad (replaced)
8 petcock on radiator leaking (repaired)
9 ground wire from frame to block almost completely rotted through (replaced)
10 brand new Proform hei distributor while installing in new rebuilt 327 litteraly fell apart in my hands, The clip at the top that retains the shaft was busted and the piece that fits over the splined top end was bent to crap (will never buy proform garbage again!!!) replaced with another old reliable one i had in the shop!
11 pulled old exhaust and installed new hooker super comps with side pipes with sterling jet hot finish.
12 new thermostat from napa 180 degree would not open so removed and left empty for now.
13 found a wad of about 20 feet of wire for the alternator black taped in a ball and stuffed in fender behind the vac storage tank?? cut it out replaced with new.
14 installed new centerforce clutch,pressure plate,throw out bearing and brass pilot bushing
15 pulled a roofing nail from 1 trans linkage and replaced with cotter pin!!
16 installed new 327 with new waterpump,carb,alter,etc....
Well after all this i finnally got her running and running well!!! thanx to all that helped with info and knowledge!!!!
like not using a roller pilot bearing with a muncie and measurments on the busted motor mount etc... IT LIVES!!!! thanx all!!!
