So I've been having a problem with the negative terminal on my battery coming unplugged in my '77. I believe it is because the battery hold down is missing and the battery just bounces around behind my seat. I've seen a few different "hold downs" and "hold down kits" available, but I can't tell what they do/where they go. Can anybody post a pic of their battery compartment so I can get a clue?
Thanks!

B&B
Don't have a pic but I don't think it changed much over the years.
1. Open Battery compartment.
2. Look straight down at your battery.
3. Battery should be moved towards the front of the car and seated squarely and centered in the compartment.
4. On the back side of the battery on the compartment floor, you will see a screw hole centered in the compartment floor.
5. The hold down plate screws into the hole. so you need the plate plus bolt. The plate is
about 4 inches long and has a lip which catches the bottom edge of the battery.
6. To install you need a socket and socket wrench with long extension.
7. Got the AIM (Shop Manual)? Pictures are in there.
