your door panels don't look right. If I remember correctly they should be concave shaped there, not flat. Maybe those are for a 80 to 82? How do they compare to the originals? If they don't look like an exact match, you got the wrong panels. When I put mine back on kast week, for the 3rd time, I would just hold the panel bottom out at about 30° and cover the lip into the slot, then caterlever the panel on. Easy. check the shape, you may have the wrong panels.
Got the AIM? Fit the top first; bottom of the panel will actually be out away from the door a little. With top in place, bottom will fit down over door lock and you'll be able to snug the panel up to the door.
Great news...so you had the correct door panels after all.....but did you install them on the right car?
BD, not sure what you meant by that....the Al Knoch people told me they were having trouble with the door panel molds, so I wasn't sure if the problem was on my end or theirs. I got them on, but it was not a great fit.

Explain ??
I was joking only, but many have had the same problems with them fitting correctly. You seam to have found the trick and have then installed.
