L82 or not
Did the 73 have the L82 emblem on the hood? Or was that started with another model year??

Nope, only used the 454 hood emblem. Basicly only the largest engines (exception, 70-72 LT1) got to hood emblem. So once the 454 went away, then the L82 emblem was used, starting in '75.

Somebody correct me, I understood that the L82 hood emblems are ALL aftermarket. Yes/No?

76-79 would be factory I believe. I would forgo putting them on a 73 because any hole in fiberglass is a PIA to mend should you want to. Also why advertise?

It's the L-48 emblems that are aftermarket.

Although, I think some very early 75's didn't have the L-82 emblem.

hood emblems
I like hood emblems, it just adds a little dazzle to plain cars.
