Well, hubby was being nice and replacing the wiper blades on my '74. Only problem was he pulled too hard - the spring popped off and the little "thingy" that connects the spring to the wiper arm has disappeared. Anyone knows what that little "thingy" is called and if you can buy just that piece or do we need to replace the entire wiper arm?
So . . . . . . after searching the net and checking out local parts stores and posting on here, we each managed to find an original driver's side wiper arm. And, I found out today, we each bought one Anyway, hubby kept playing around with the broken one trying to rig it so it would work - and he did!! He then went to the passenger's side wiper arm to see if that one needed some "updating" and guess what he found laying right next to it???? Yup - that dang little "thingy" that popped off the driver's side wiper arm!!!
Looks like we should be good for driver's side wiper arms for awhile now . . . . . .
