I don't think that a Vette should be messed with, not a C3 anyway. They look good as it is. Maybe some meatier tires and an L88 hood, and maybe a spoiler on the front of one that didn't come with one, but other than that, I think they look great as they are. Spend the money on the motor and suspension to make 'em run as good as they look!
No need to say sorry I understand I had the same reaction to those cars with the 30in rims and lifted like a 4x4. Like you said alot of work went in to it but not my cup ot tea.

I think it looks cool. like it. It's your car, do what you want with it. I might agree with some of the purists if it was a pre-74 chrome bumper car. People got to remember,, there are probably 1/4 million C3 Bodied vettes out there. I think it's cool looking.

Thanks RunningMan373, The way I see it 78`s are not worth that much any ways.

To me it's not really the Value, it would be the scarcity of it. Remember back when dailly driver 'Cudas were going for $2500. Even those are somewhat purists cars. I wouldn't do that to a '68 or my '73, but they are different beasts. To me it has nothing to do with the value. Rather the value is derived from the scarcity. 78's aren't really scarce,, not yet at least. like said, I think it looks cool.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?? I agree 100%. Though I might not like the entire package there's usually at least a couple ideas that go into a car like this that I really like. Not a big fan of hydraulics or the wheels, but the paint and everything about the car is awsome.

No offense LOWROD, just not my cup of tea! I'm more "old school" but sometimes can't keep my opinions to myself...

I've seen alot of customs over the years, and I didn't like all of them, just MHO. Like your comment on the big wheeled jacked up things (lots of Caprice's in ATL with stiff suspensions..OMG!)

Us "good 'ol boys" in Jawja are just as on top of the "scene" as others...

Good luck with your ride, I hope it wins tons of awards

69monzacpe, No offense taken, I know Im fare from stock and I know most vett owners like thier car close to stock or just all ENG. Which is also cool and I like that as well but I build my vett for my self and if people don`t care for it, Its ok. I just like being on the forum talking with other vett people because I love C3.

Mako Shark-Hello, I noticed you live in Thomasville. Cool! My husband and I live just outside of Lexington. Thought it was neat to see another member in our area. Do you know of any corvette events coming up around us?

lowrod vette, i like it man.....not something i would do to mine, but i do like it......it's smooth and clean looking, thanks for not putting a huge goofy looking spoiler on it too....doesn't matter how much work you would've put into it, that would've ruined it for me!

what size are your wheels? groovejay has some what 20's on his (or maybe 19's and 20's, can't remember) his wheels are pretty large and the car's pretty low, but they looks great on his vette too....

take care man!

Hey-lowrod, I think you built a very nice car that should be appreciated for what it is. You even put together a nice display that took much effort. Do you have mirrors under the elevated side to show the underside? Your car stands out in a sea of stock C-3's wearing TTII's that become boring IMO. You added nice detail and set an example of how cleanliness can make a car standout. Nice Job!

I love the way you all apologize to the guy after he is really nice to you in response to your initial comments.

lowrod your Vette is sweet. I told you they'd crap on your head over your Vette.
