MY first shake down RACE !!!
Ok guys.
I gotta tell somebody. The C3 LS1 just broke it's Cherry...
against a 1970 chevelle 406 sbc, M6, 12 bolt on ET STREET tires. (E-water pump longtube headers, no PW, No alt belt (running on a optima)
We raced from the DIG (dead stop)
Oddly enough my 3000 stall and TH350 got me out of the HOLE faster
(i am running drag radials...w 16lbs of air)
I won by about 1.5 cars... I shifted into 3rd and started to slow down... (curve ahead)
Anyway, he was well into 4th gear... and could not make any ground.
We tried for another but he had some issues...with a Electrical fire... that we quickly killed. Car was up in running again... but live to fight another day.
DAM LS1 ... is pretty quick... for stock 346 block, 228 comp cam, LS6 head, 3000 stall, 680 AED DP Holley on a dual plane intake... with stock C5 manifolds... heheheee

Just happy with my first shake down.
consider about 500lbs more weight and 46 more cubic inches... race tires... I think the old C3 did well.
