Thanks for the kind words guys. damaged set on the car is over 5000.00 just on the out side. all supporting structure beneath the skin is not being taken into acount. they say for sure over 10, 000.00 crappy to hear. heres the kicker. My car was spotted being driven that morning by my sister inlaw and my father, which new it had been stolen because that mrnig i called him and told him that our shop had been broken into. My Father, is the one that apprihended the guys that stole my car. in the insuing chase they damaged my car by slamming in to his Jimmy. the car hit a curve blew out the tranny. The guys ran out and goti nto another car that was waiting for them...i tell yah, it was like a movie. the best part is that that morning a Officer stopped my car with these guys in it and asked about my Plates...LATNC3....the cop couldn't get the plate number and decided to ask the driver about it. the driver told that cop that it was his vette. The guys was parked at his house, so the police know who they are and where they live.....sweet.....but they would not tell me where that was. so at the end they have not been caught but they are being chased. as for me, i stuck paying my deductable. I'm considering buying a C5 now. will most likely buy back my car and part it out to get some of my money back.

its late in this discussion but... ive had haggerty on all of my toys for over 20 years now. ive never had a claim and all of the policies start with "accepeted value" which i determined. i do not go by what cars sell or auction by but what i have into it and im fairly well documented. should i spend the money and have a big name corvette retailer appraise it?

The car had been stolen the night before and the guys had the ***** to drive it around the next morning. this is when my Father and sister-inlaw saw the car. my dad actually went after it and managed to stop it and called the popo. The guys at this point Ran away in a Green jeep.....a vehicle that was following the vette that morning.
