Build Date?

Hello All,
By using the VIN number I calcualted my car to be April 19, 1972.
By using the TRim Code Tag I am a bit confused.
It lists it as I18.
I had my wife read the trim tag on the phone and was thinking it was D and she was just not reading it correctly.
A= January
B= February
C=March
D=April?

What month is I???

September??? or APril???

Anyone???

You have it correct IF you are talking about a 1970 model. Other years start with August as A, Sept as B and so on..........

That is right! My 70 is C16, March 16, 1970. The strike that year put production off like 5 months. It was a short run too, only half as many cars were built as were in '69 and or '71.

OK So I18 on my 72 "IS" April 18, 1972.
Makes my car 1 week younger than me.
