Home blasting?

I have the 60 gal single stage compressor that home depot sells.. something like 10cfm at 40psi. It worked great with my pressure blaster. Just had to watch the tip, when it got pretty worn the compressor would keep running and not cycle..
I also started off with the 13 dollar home depot syphon blaster, but it is way to slow. Wound up getting the 20 gal pressure blaster from HF. HF also sells a really nice deadman valve for 16 bucks... if yours just has a ball valve at the nozzle to control flow, GET RID OF IT! the sand will wear it out in an hour.
I used something called Black beauty which is blast furnace slag, looks like black sand, but no silica. Still use a respirator and hood though. The stuff can be purchased for 10 dollars a 100lb bag, took 4 bags to do the frame.
Here is a picture after washing and prepping for POR.. looked alot better before putting Metal Ready on it..
