Default Any good Corvette magazines?

Hi there,

Anyone have a subscription to any good Corvette magazines? What are the best ones that cover the C3 as well as other years?

Just thought it would be neat to see what others are reading. I just purchased my vette a few months ago so the only thing I have been reading is service manuals and the Corvette Forum!

A good forum has more C3 specific Corvette information than a magazine. If you need something to read on the porcelain bus and don't have a laptop, Corvette Quarterly is pretty good.

well, i subscribed to Corvette Magazine about a year ago. although it says it is a monthly magazine, it's not. i think in a year i've gotten probably 4 issues. it's pretty good when it does come but it's not real C3 specific.

...not anymore...well, I take that back; every now and then one of the mags pulls off a good issue.

I use to subscribe to Corvette Fever back in '98. Loved it, was like a kid at Christmas each month it came in the mail box...almost as good as getting the Victoria Secrets!

But in 2002 or so they got popular and sold to a larger company and now they only push the flavor of the day and have very few good, hands on articles anymore.

My recommendation - I make a monthly trip to BAM around the first of the month to preview all of the mags. I usually buy one. I save lots of $$$ because I don't do the subscription thing. Might be cheaper in the long run to do a subscription but I want quality over quantity.

I like Corvette Enthusiast because they publish some very good tech articles but than I also write for them so I'm somewhat partial. But I liked the magazines before I wrote for them and find they cater more to the early generate Corvette owner with techie stuff. I know many of the regular writers and they know there stuff. If you are going to do your own mechanic work...they have some pretty good stuff.

Corvette Fever slants their publication for the C4-C5 owner and I see fewer and fewer articles targeting the C3 owner. I don't count fancy paints jobs or fixed headlamps as what most C3 guys want.

Corvette Quarterly is a Chevrolet Motor Division (Corvette) publication and therefore it focus is on state of the art Corvette technology including the Corvette racing program.

Vette Vues...can't read it cause the font is too small but the article topics always seem interesting.

Haven't gotten "Vette" in years and probably dropped them for the same reason I'm about to drop my subscription to Corvette Fever.

I've been subscribing to Corvette Enthusiast for the past 2 years. I checked out all the others and went with CE for the tech articles and they seem to have a decent amount of C3 stuff. I was very impressed with their coverage of C3 the past 6 months or so. They just did a '77 project in conjunction with MidAmerica that was informative and fun to follow. I also subscribe to Car Craft and Hemmings Muscle Machines. The forum is fantastic too!!!!

Corvette Fever, NCRS Restorer, Hot Rod

In addition to C3 material, the NCRS Restorer often relate to other vintages, for example, C2's, but I enjoy reading how people go about restoring things. It's a good opportunity to learn some restoring techniques. Also, with NCRS membership you get Driveline magazine which is oriented to sellers, buyers, and people who offer rebuild services and parts.

I read Hot Rod just to keep up on modern technology that would be useful to know in case I was going to get involved in an engine rebuild.

I still read Vette and Corvette Fever. They are cheap for subscriptions and it's fun to see what others are doing with their cars. They are also good to see what new goodies the manufacturers are coming out with...
