Windshield frame ground?

Windshield frame ground?
Hey all.
I've got my replacement rear view mirror in. Pulled wiring diagrams and a pinout for it and hoping to put it in either tomorrow or on the weekend.
Would you ground it to the windshield frame? I'm going to put a meter on it and see what is what and just how good a connection I would have but first, I figured I would ask those who had actually had all the windshield and parts out and could see how well the frame is attached to the car frame.
Running 4 wires, Power, map light power, courtesy light power, ground. Since I'm running them under the molding, I wouldn't mind just fixing a round terminal and grounding it to the frame under the molding near the mirror. The less wires to run the better.
...ah, what happened? He had some sort of electrolytic deal going on down by the bottom of the windshield frame. It rained and the engine compartment filled up with hydrogen and the car blew
