I was thinking how it will be if sprayed line-X on the entire floor w/o carpet. Maybe having carpet under drivers/passengers seats only over line-X for comfort.
OK, it was crazy idea after all

I sealed the fiberglas in my rear compartments with Duplicolor brush-in bedliner. It took it about two weeks to reach full hardness, but now it's indestructible.
Well the guy kinda has a point, if I recall, unless the product has changed, you cant even spray this stuff yourself. It uses some kind of high pressure system and penetrates into the metal.. and I would imagine actually be quite dangerous to try yourself :P
I'm new to vettes but not spray in bedliner. We once sprayed the entire exterior of a deer lease jeep with it and it is tough. Also seen it used as aluminum boat floor covering instead of carpet and it works great. This is in saltwater where the conditons are "extreme"
Dont know if this helps but just letting you know that bedliner spray can be as versatile as you want it to be.

Line X or anyone of those types of products will not allow rust to expand, because they seal the metal so no air gets in. I think it it's a pretty cool idea if my car hadrust issues. It will not help if your car is rusted through though. My buddy did the bottum of his snowmobile trailer, because of all the salt. Product is undestructable.

I won't do it by myself and I don't even think we can get Line-X product without going through dealer. Spraying cost should be around $500, I believe.
The idea came to my mind when I was thinking about redoing floor carpet. I thought it might make the rear compartment look crispy with Line-X without fluffy carpet... though no idea how it really looks without seeing in person.
And plus we may be able to get rust-free floor hardened floor..
The drawback could be it's so tough to remove it when you need to restore the body.
