Not every thread in C3 can directly relate to your Vette.
The point is...this is a C3 forum, is it not? Why would I have to wade through unrelated threads to get to threads that ARE related to one of the 15 years of C3's? Kinda makes it a "whatever you want to talk about" forum, doesn't it? I don't expect all threads to revolve around my 81, as you would suggest. Just C3's in general. Don't get pissy...it was a simple and obvious observation.

There are occassional off topic threads, some relating and some not. They do get moved when appropriate. The very same thread you are participating right now has nothing to do with a Corvette specifically yet you and several other people are here posting. Why? maybe because there is interest in it to the people reading it, and every person reading it with the exception of a few all have a Corvette. That's a common ground here that underlies everything else. Does this thread belong here? Nope. Do I care? Nope. Was it hard for me to find other C3 specific threads? Nope. Not being pissy, just being upfront.

But your the one who started the name calling in this thread...are you not? It looked like a simple question on the lack of interesting posts to begin with, or slow traffic...until the work jerk was used

Ask Len, why, with 150,000 members, Sam and I were the only ones he called out.

Okay well I think you misunderstood there meaning. Your Grandfather was a Mason and they knew him and knew his character. And what they really said is that they would sign your petition to enable you to go into the Lodge and go through the process to become a Mason yourself. You can go through the 3rd degree in about three months depending on how fast you learn the work. Now I will say something that may seem odd but if you do this you will understand. Nothing is higher than the 3rd degree. Everything else is pretty much sideways. But when you go through the Blue Lodge of Masonry then go through the Scottish Rite or York Rite then if you like into the Shrine you would be a 32nd degree. There are a few that are a 33rd Degree but that is bestowed upon them for a life time of good deeds. Some always stay as a Mason and do not go into the other areas. As Masonry is the Foundation and the work of the Fraternity.

I've always thought about getting seriour with it, as my Grandmother was very supportive of that path. I may still as I settle into my life. Thanks for the info though, it was very interesting to actually see how it's structured.

I would like to add that it would be worth your time to go into the Shrine as this is the Fun part of being a Mason. There are many units to belong to and many things for the whole family to do if you so wish. Plus the main focus is on the Burned and Crippled Children's Hospitals which by the way are the very best in the world at what they do and by the way they are FREE. I will say that again they are FREE. So if you know of a Burned or Crippled child in need please inform them of this as not many know.

Geesh! I will now bow out of this thread and publicly apologize to you Durango. I did not know that out of 150,000 members (your count) that you held such a high status here. I have recieved 5 PM's now telling me not to argue with you, that I will be banned from posting here? Member for only 12 days and I don't want to lose my right to post here, so again, I am sorry I took part of this thread, although you were the only member in this thread calling names.

It's not about arguing, it's about what they said that got them banned. You're not saying or expressing opinions that'll get you in trouble.

I don't feel I have a high status and have never made that claim either.

My point is, post #2, is a 'call out' because he may not agree with me, Sam, or what we post. It might have been meant with a humorous intent but I seriously doubt it from things that have been said before, here, and on other forums.

Is your post not calling out a Supporting vendor on a public forum for something you don't agree with?
Your linking one thread to another. This was about name calling and only one poster here did that. Your comments in this other post about a vendor was just as wrong as Durango calling someone a name in this one. I'm done before I lose my posting rights...

So you have 55 posts on this forum and all of a sudden you are an expert on thread content and history between other members? Those of us who have been here for longer than 2 months understood the point counterpoint between JugHead and DB.. I don't really understand how you can say my comments in my post were wrong and judging from your lack of expereince and knowledge of this forum I couldn't care less. Anytime you see a post from me just continue skipping by it. I doubt you have any useful information that I would need. You are the one who origionaly "cross threaded" when you referenced one of my threads in your response. Next time think before you type.
