Hello, today its 39 years since the first 69 Vettes came on sales Chevrolet Division announced on September 20, 1968 that new models were to go on sale Thursday, September 26, 1968

That interesting information, I never knew that.
Mine was ordered 9/30/68, so it must have taken him 4 days to convince the wife!

Yeah that is funny. I read a story somewhere about an L88 delivered with the dealer hitch and this guy used his L88 to tow a boat to the lake.

Gotta love the 69 Vettes

Is there a way to know how many L71's and L88's were ordered in the first week? And if one of the ZL1's were too?

Just curious if mine could have been one of the first ordered and delivered.

Also, gq82, DI does mean dealer installed.

It's interesting that by Sept. 20, 68 there would have been something around 2,500 already produced. Must have taken some time to get them in the pipeline. Rick
