Mine was ordered 9/30/68, so it must have taken him 4 days to convince the wife!

Yeah that is funny. I read a story somewhere about an L88 delivered with the dealer hitch and this guy used his L88 to tow a boat to the lake.

Is there a way to know how many L71's and L88's were ordered in the first week? And if one of the ZL1's were too?
Just curious if mine could have been one of the first ordered and delivered.
Also, gq82, DI does mean dealer installed.

It's interesting that by Sept. 20, 68 there would have been something around 2,500 already produced. Must have taken some time to get them in the pipeline. Rick
