I've tried many waxes over the years. For quite a while my favorite was Mequiar's Gold Class. Now I use Griot's Garage Best of Show Wax...best I've ever used. It makes the car look like it was dipped in lucite the shine is so deep.
Lotsa good products out there. You just picked a great way to start an argument over which is best. The best is whatever you like the most.

I never heard of Gliptone but have tried just about everything over the years. In my opinion the Zaino line of polish/sealants is the best I have ever used for shine and durability.
Consumer reports did a piece on car waxes a few years ago and this stuff won several categories, though it was by far the least expensive and least known. You apply it to a wet car, then dry the car,..a true one-step that's muuuch easier to apply and remove than the others. And it lasts as long as anything else I've tried. The best news?...it's sold by the gallon,..about $18.

Zep is a professional grade line of products, until recently sold primarily to business and fleet accounts, like car dealers, cleaning companies, etc. They sell cleaners, vegetation killers, all kinds of products. All industrial grade. Now they have a consumer line of products I've seen sold through Home Depot and Lowe's.
While Consumer Reports has a great deal of credence in its results, they generally are looking at certain aspects of a product. In the case of car waxes, they're looking for ease of use and long term wear. They may not take into account the shine that so many car aficianados look for.
I believe, while most of us appreciate long lasting car waxes, we're primarily looking for the finish and appearance it gives our Corvettes. If it doesn't shine, it doesn't really matter how long lasting it is for Vette guys.

Totally, I think Ive tried them all but keep going back to Maguires.............LT
ICE is my polish of choise now. That stuff is great. Try the detailing spray, that's great as well. GLIPTONE----I use the car wash all the time. Find that it's about the best. Expensive but, good.

I do not know about Zep car wax BUT Zep floor wax is choice. I used to be a floor maintenance guy in a former life and that stuff was far superior to the stuff we usualy used.
Meguires professional line is what I prefer after trying several kinds. The Zaino is more trouble to buy and does not work any better on my rides that I have used it on. I would not bother with it again.
