Just a quickie, are alternator pulley nuts left hand thread?

They are standard thread.

How are you doing it?
If it's still on the car with the belt on it's a little easier.
If it's either without a belt or in a vise I just grab the pulley with a glove on or a rag in my hand and hit the nut with an impact wrench.
It'll probably just spin right off.

Impact wrench + heavy leather welding glove = removed nut.
