13.08 @ 108 mph - good for a first timer?
I ran at a local track last night to see what my latest combo was doing. I never raced (legally) before. I was just wondering what others are running with similair combonation. I have 383 with about 450 horse, and 700r4 conversion, rear all original-3:55, and rest of car all original. I ran with street tires which is why i spun till about the 60' mark i beleive. So let me hear your thoughts!

How do you like the 700R4 with the 383? I just dropped in my 383 (440hp) to the stock Turbo 350. I doubt it will hold up long once it's running again. I've started buying components for the 5 speed conversion but considering a built 700R4.
You have Straub in your name and from PA... My room mate's family owns straub's brewery up there. Related maybe?

I love the 383, also 700r4 cannot beat a lower 1st gear and a overdrive. the turbo 350 should take what you got unless its weak. im not related to straub brewery but wish i was there beer is actually great! but seriously go with the 700r4 great for highway driving saves gas.
700r4 ........ Now your making me thirsty.
