Redline tires
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, bow down to the Coker's and never look back. My '66 looks kick-**** with the Coker gold lines and cruises flawlessly on roadway whilst I yodel.
Excellent tires and better traction ratings than the Cokers...though the Cokers were about $5 cheaper and have better wear ratings.

I looked at the two stores and there were a few options.. I'm going to do a total body-off restoration and want to do it correctly. Did the tread originally look like this when the tires came from the factory in 1969?

Or did it look like this?

Also, does anyone know a store that sells these tires in Florida?

The redlines are radials not bias, so in case you are thinking Top Fight you should keep this in mind. However, if you are going to drive the car at all, radials are a no-brainer.

-original equipment was 5 F70x15 bias-ply nylon tires, redline optional
-Goodyear & Uniroyal has a tread width of 6.5 inches. Firestone- 6.75 inches.
-Goodyear, Firestone & Uniroyal had 9 ribs on the tread
-red stripe tires were Goodyear Speedway Wide Tread
-striped Goodyear had a 5/16 stripe one inch from the rim. Firestone was 3/8 inch stripe 1 7/8 inch from rim and Uniroyal 5/16 stripe 1 3/8 inches from rim.
-Radial replacement tires: correct current day service replacement size is P215/70R for Goodyear & Firestone.
-original Goodyear overall diameter was 26.92 inches, section width 8.35 and tread width, 6.26 inch.
Thats probably more info than you need!
